Mr. Sylvester Egede, Assistant General Manager, Managing Director’s Division, Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), has emerged an Integrity Ambassador for the reputable National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS).
After completing a 3-day intensive training in Abuja on Thursday in NIPSS Integrity and Leadership Executive Course, Egede, received a special award "NIPSS Leadership and Integrity Ambassador" from the Director General of NIPSS, Professor Ayo Omotayo.
The exclusive course titled "Integrity and Leadership Executive Course" is specially designed to identify, reward and expose leaders in various fields of human endeavour who have made their mark and leave an enduring legacy in their various fields.
Egede, a graduate of Geography, Regional Planning and Environmental Sustainability from the University of Jos, also holds a Master’s degree in Transport Planning from Lagos State University and further enhanced his expertise with a Port Management and Administration course at the World Maritime University, Sweden.

In 2024, Egede was appointed Port Manager of the Tin Can Island Port Complex, the very port where his career began.
